Communications Manager
Job Description
You will work closely with the Assistant Director and Corporate Relations Executive to shape appropriate methods to communicate about Malaysian CARE’s ministry to the public. You are a forward thinker and are optimistic about opportunities and developing content strategies to be disseminated via social media, website, newsletters, press releases, Malaysian CARE’s corporate presentations and any other distribution channels.
You would also be implementing initiatives towards enhancing Malaysian CARE’s image via proper internal communications branding.
Develop and edit communication materials like website, Malaysian CARE’s newsletter, blogs, press releases and similar communication materials in order to promote Malaysian CARE’s ministry.
- Implement Malaysian CARE’s communication plan in order to increase brand/ministry awareness.
- Manage change management communications.
- Ensure communications consistency among different stakeholders.
- Incorporate Public Relations, Digital and Traditional Marketing efforts.
- Develop Malaysian CARE’s social media strategy.
Job Requirement
- A genuine passion for the poor and needy - ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others.
- In line with modern day technology and is passionate about social media.
- Knows what is relevant to the younger generation.
- Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and techniques in social media.
- Enjoys creative writing and can create compelling content.
- Proactivity, self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Personally motivated to do the best possible job.
- Good organization skills – able to work within timelines and plan work.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Not calculative, a team player who can get their hands dirty.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, Events Management, Marketing or equivalent from any field of study.
